Great Western Railway - Other Sites.

I have also visited a number of other sites associated with the Great Western Railway in South Wales that are not large enough on their own to warrant their own page. On this page, I present photographs of the Cymmer Viaduct in the Afan Valley and also the Roath Branch.  The Roath Branch is not technically abandoned. It is used, as it was built, for freight to and from Cardiff docks.  The southern section of this line paralleled the abandoned Taff Vale Railwy Roath Branch. The current route follows the GWR lone for part of the route and the Taff Vale for the rest of the way.
