Penarth Station Terminus |
| From the 'forced' terminus at Penarth, as far as Cosmeston, the route of the trackbed is mainly open. A short section directly south of Penarth Station has been overbuilt, but the line is walkable for about 2km. The trackbed has been maintained as a 'strip' park. The road bridges, all brick arches are still intact, though remains of Alberta Place Halt and Lower Penarth Station have gone. The site of Lower Penarth Station is now 'Rowan Close'. | |
| Cosmeston Quarry | |
| The area around Fort Road bridge, serving Lavernock station is private and fenced off. Lavernock Station is now a holiday caravan site. | |
| At St Mary's Well Bay road bridge there is access to a heavily overgrown trackbed. | |
| Lavernock road bridge has been demolished and the site now lies on private property. The old doglegged alignment of Lavernock road can still be seen The trackbed between Lavernock road and Sully Station is mainly private property and overgrown. | |
| Access to the trackbed is possible at Swanbridge Road via the old station access. The area is heavily overgrown. The access path is still tarmacced, but is falling away at the edge. The old wooden station gate still exists. | |
| Cog Road bridge has been filled in and the Sully station site has been redeveloped. | |
| Sully brook Bridge now forms part of a council depot. | |
| Biglis Junction has been lost under the new service station development, Macdonalds and the A4055 roundabout. |
